Shepherds in Scotland and Ireland used to drill holes in their shoes to let the water that had penetrated through boggy ground drain out again. Likewise, the openings supported faster drying. Nowadays, the perforations are more artistic, more refined and a signature element of handmade men's shoes. LLOYD makes this model in traditional, iconic 1888 Series fashion.
